Hey...when do you get to find out your babies gender? Sorry about the girls night, I felt dumb going without B since she was the one that invited me. Plus, I didn't see your text until the next day and I felt so bad....so next time for sure if you guys want me to come.

Linford is such a little stud. Where's all the pictures?! I miss that kid....we need to get the kids together soon. I guess this weekend it'll happen for sure.

Speaking of...I need to email you about friday! Ack. I'm stressed. How 'bout you? You have a lot more to be stressed about - what can I do to help? Want me to come clean?

Hey there, it's Melissa. I got your comment on the binky situation. It's definitely a tough one. My son was OBSESSED with his binks and we only let him have it at night time or naps. He started to say that he didn't like the sun b/c it meant he had to give his binky up. That's when I knew it was time.
So here's what I did...hopefully this works for you. I took his favorite binky and cut off the top right in front of him. Then I threw it in the garbage. This way there was no question about where it was or what happened to it. He was really sad at first, but I explained to him that he's a big boy and doesn't need it...yadda yadda. I told him that he should be grateful b/c he still has his blanket. Which sounds bad, but he realized that he still had something to comfort him at night. The first night was hard. It took a few hours for him to get to sleep without it and he woke up twice looking for it. After that, each night got better and better. He is totally fine now and doesn't ask for it anymore. He doesn't care when he sees other kids with them either.
I hope that helps! I don't think I'll let my other son keep his as long. He is turning one on Saturday and I might just take his bottle and binky away after his birthday. I've heard it's way easier that way.

Here's my email if you have any other questions. I know how hard things like this are (I'm still trying to potty train!) bellmelis@gmail.com

Say hi to Brandon for me. And congrats on being pregnant!
