Bittersweet

Well I was excited to celebrate Easter with my kids but
VERY sad that we couldn't spend it with my Husband.
I bought their "basket stuffers" and I put their baskets together all by myself
and it felt so empty without him here with me.
It was so fun watching them run all over the house to find their baskets but
I still kept thinking, "I wish Daddy was here"
EVEN though, they had so much fun and they thought it was so cool

After Breakfast we sat down and watched a few Easter movies about
Jesus Christ and the TRUE meaning of Easter
I couldn't help but choke up
especially answering all my boys questions about the atonement and the Resurrection

Some of our good friends Tanya and Curtis,
invited us over for an Easter Egg Hunt and some yummy food and it was so fun. I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends.
Curtis went and bought all the kids loads and loads of toys
in addition to the eggs that we all brought
They went and hid all the toys and eggs
my kids thought it was Christmas

It was so good to sit and visit with friends while the kids played and played and PLAYED,
I sure miss Brandon but
atleast I have these amazing friends to help me not miss him SO MUCH.

Ashley! I've been meaning to write you a little something for a long time. You are way too nice to me! Thank you for your generously sweet comments on my blog. It really means the world. It makes me miss you so much! I still cherish our little efy experience together. Had to be one of my favorite high school experiences, and you made it so fun and memorable. I hope I am half the mom you are. I love thinking of you answering their questions about Jesus, so sweet. I hope AZ is treating you well. Is Brandon out for the summer? Hopefully we'll come to AZ sometime and be able to see you. Love you and thanks again for being so sweet.
